The North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) has announced Elevate 2028, a new strategic plan aimed at positioning NACCAP as the most trusted resource in Christian college enrollment. The plan focuses on strengthening brand perception, expanding data and research capabilities, increasing revenue generation and fostering K-12 partnerships to support Christian higher education.

“As challenges and changes continue to impact Christian education, Elevate 2028 represents our commitment to equipping institutions with the tools and resources they need to thrive,” said Dr. Phil Cook, NACCAP president. “By focusing on key areas such as research, professional development and K-12 engagement, we are ensuring that Christian colleges and universities remain accessible and attractive to future generations.”

The Elevate 2028 framework outlines several strategic priorities, including:

• Brand perception – Strengthening NACCAP’s presence among Christian college presidents and enrollment leaders.
• Revenue generation – Expanding revenue streams to better serve NACCAP’s diverse membership.
• K-12 partnerships – Strengthening the connection between K-12 schools and Christian higher education to increase student enrollment.
• Data and research – Bringing data operations in-house and expanding research initiatives to better inform enrollment strategies.

Key goals of Elevate 2028 include enhancing professional development offerings by 2025, launching an executive search operation by 2026 and increasing traffic to the Find Your Christian College website through K-12 partnerships.

Through Elevate 2028, NACCAP reaffirms its mission to support enrollment professionals and institutions in advancing Christian education.

in its 55th year, NACCAP serves nearly 400 member institutions, including K-12, undergraduate, graduate, seminary and degree completion programs, as well as associate members from around the world. More than 2,500 professional staff are served as NACCAP continues its mission of serving and engaging its members by providing vital professional development and initiatives that champion the cause for Christian education. NACCAP institutions collectively enroll more than 400,000 students across K-12 and higher education levels.

2025 Market Research Study for Christian Higher Education

We’re excited to announce that NACCAP, in collaboration with the CCCU, is launching a 2025 Market Research Study—a critical initiative to help Christian colleges and universities thrive in today’s shifting higher education landscape. This study, which builds on previous studies from 2000 & 2009, will deliver actionable insights into how today's students, parents and alumni perceive Christian education, emerging enrollment trends and how institutions can refine their recruitment and marketing strategies.

• Understand how perceptions of Christian higher education have evolved over the past 35 years
• Access tailored recommendations to refine messaging, pricing and recruitment strategies

As Christian colleges and universities encounter increasing competition and secular pressures, this research will equip presidents, boards and senior leaders with the tools needed to guide their institutions through change and into long-term success. By participating, you’ll gain access to strategic recommendations and customized data to help your institution navigate the evolving higher education landscape while remaining true to its faith-based mission.

You're invited to attend a virtual information session on Thursday, February 20, at 2 pm ET  to explore the study’s goals, benefits and how your institution can participate.

All member institutions will receive an executive summary of the findings. The research will be presented at the NACCAP Annual Conference and the CCCU International Forum, with follow-up webinars for those unable to attend. Institutions that submit their data and pay the participation fee will have input into the study’s objectives and receive the full report, including campus-specific insights. Cost is based on institutional size and scholarships are available.

It is with a profound sense of loss the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals is sharing that Tim Fuller, founder and president of Fuller Higher Ed Solutions, has passed away.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, Fuller Higher Ed Solutions Vice President Dave Burke stated:

“It is with extremely heavy heart that I need to share that Tim Fuller passed away unexpectedly in his sleep early Friday morning, June 9. I know this must be a complete shock to everyone who has encountered Tim, especially those who have been in his presence in recent days and weeks.”

NACCAP president Phil Cook, said, “It is difficult to describe the impact Tim Fuller had on Christian higher education. It is impossible to articulate the impact he had on NACCAP and our members. We grieve for Tim’s wife, Carol, his children, and his grandchildren. Our hearts are broken.”

“We would ask each of you to keep Tim’s family in your prayers during this difficult time, and will pass along any pertinent details regarding memorial and/or funeral service as they become available, likely in the next week,“ said Burke.

The Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship

The North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) is proud to announce the launch of the Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship.

Chant Thompson served as executive director of NACCAP for 28 years. Prior to serving Christian institutions through NACCAP, Thompson was the dean of enrollment management at Huntington University, a Christian college and NACCAP member institution. He spent his career advancing Christian education and continues to do so in retirement.

“NACCAP is thrilled to introduce our application for the Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship,” states Dr. Phil Cook, executive director of NACCAP. “We can think of no better way to honor Chant’s service to Christian education than this award. His many years of encouragement to Christian college admissions professionals from all over North America laid the groundwork to enroll thousands of students. This scholarship will allow that legacy to continue.”

The Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship is designed to encourage students to attend a Christian college or university as they prepare for their future career and calling. Students who currently attend a NACCAP member high school and plan to enroll in a NACCAP member Christian college or university are eligible to apply. Scholarship recipients will receive a $1000 scholarship to assist with costs associated with attending college. The North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) is excited to share the 2023 Leadership Development for Enrollment Professionals (LDEP) cohort is full.

With a record number of applicants, enrollment is more than double the 2022 cohort. The program currently has 40 admitted students. Of these, 34 participants work with traditional undergraduates, degree completion, and/or graduate students; six participants work in the K-12 sector.

Greg Vaughan, LDEP program director, says, “Seeing the growth of this year's LDEP program convinces me that there is a great need for this kind of professional development opportunity at Christian institutions. The fact that one-third of our 2023 class come from colleges and universities that have previously sent staff to LDEP is a great indication of customer satisfaction. We're excited to expand to the K-12 sector, as well, and look forward to getting started on February 6."

This year's lecturers include Dr. Shirley Hoogstra, president of the CCCU; Dr. Deana Porterfield, president of Roberts Wesleyan University; Dr. André Stephens, president of Fresno Pacific University; Bart Caylor, president of Caylor Solutions; Tim Fuller, founder of Fuller Higher Ed Solutions; and many other industry leaders.

Applications for the waitlist are currently being accepted. The cohort begins in February.

LDEP is a one-year, online certificate program designed for emerging enrollment professionals in both the college/university and Christian school setting.

Starting January 2023, NACCAP's membership due structure is changing. With the goal to better serve our members, the primary change is a new Institutional membership that includes the entire institution – Undergraduate, Graduate, Adult Professionals and Seminary.

The small increase in membership dues will provide member status to the entire higher ed institution allowing all admissions programs to benefit from NACCAP membership. As an Institutional member, the graduate and seminary admissions will be included in the college search function on ChristianGradSchools.com. This updated site is set to launch in early 2023. The graduate & seminary programs will be searchable by degree (master or doctoral) and format (online, on campus or hybrid). Updated profile information will be required.

Traditional undergraduate majors and athletic programs continue to benefit from the college search function on our new and improved student-focused website FindYourChristianCollege.com.

Christian high school membership has been updated to include K-12. Membership will now be based on enrollment numbers. In addition to the College Counselor Certification program, professional development is also available to directors of admissions through NACCAP's Leadership Development for Enrollment Professionals (LDEP) program – a one-year, online certificate program designed for emerging enrollment professionals.
